Message from the President of the EMU Sigma Chapter: Eta Rho
I am honored to begin my term as your Eta Rho President for 2025–2027. Over the past year, Eta Rho has continued to grow as a community of scholars, educators, clinicians, and leaders. Our members have advanced nursing practice through meaningful service projects, contributed to the profession through research and scholarship, and mentored students and colleagues with generosity and purpose. These achievements reflect the strength of our chapter and the shared commitment that defines who we are.
As we look forward, our work aligns powerfully with Sigma’s 2025–2027 Organizational Call to Action: Lead Together. Lead Together calls each of us, across roles, settings, and regions, to shape the future of healthcare by standing stronger in community than we ever could alone. When we Lead Together, we elevate our voice to advocate for the issues that matter most to nursing and to our patients.
In the coming year, Eta Rho will continue to build on this momentum. We are planning initiatives that strengthen professional development, support scholarly growth, and deepen our engagement with the communities around us. I encourage you to participate actively in activities such as attending chapter meetings, volunteering for events, sharing your ideas, and bringing forward the creative energy that has always defined our chapter. Together, we will continue to ensure that Eta Rho stands for excellence in nursing leadership, scholarship, and service.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our chapter and to the nursing profession.
Warmly,
Valerie Pauli, EdD, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, CNE

Dear Eta Rho Members,
As we welcome fall and another academic year, I'm grateful for the dedication and passion you bring to our chapter. This season represents growth and change—an opportunity to reflect on our achievements and set new goals for the months ahead.
This past year, our chapter has made significant progress in advancing nursing leadership, education, and practice. We've seen our members contribute to the community through service projects, publish groundbreaking research, and mentor the next generation of nursing professionals. These accomplishments are a testament to the power of collaboration and our shared commitment to our profession.
Looking forward, we have several exciting initiatives planned. Our upcoming events will focus on fostering professional development, supporting each other in our research endeavors, and engaging with the communities we serve. I encourage each of you to participate actively by attending chapter meetings, volunteering for events, or contributing your ideas to our ongoing projects.
As always, our strength lies in the diversity of our members' experiences and the collective wisdom we share. Let's continue to build on our achievements, ensuring that Eta Rho stands for excellence in nursing.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our chapter and the nursing profession.
