  • May 15, 2024 IPN Spring Program and Awards Nominations

    IPN Spring Meeting is set May 15, 2024 and accepting nominations including self-nominations for IPN Awards!

    Nominations for the 2024 IPN Leadership and Educational Awards due April 15th, 2024!

    Do you know a nurse friend or colleague that deserves to be recognized? Self-nominations are accepted as well. Both awards are open to Registered Nurses who live or work in Michigan.

    "Human Trafficking: It’s not always what you think"

    Danielle's doctoral research was focused on human trafficking and screening for trafficking. 

    She is currently the System Director for Advanced Practice Provider Education at Henry Ford Health System, Detroit

    The Board of Eta Rho would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all nurses during the 2020 Nurses Week and Year of the Nurse!!  We recognize the dedicated and exhausting work that is being done by members of Eta Rho during this pandemic.  Sigma is supporting our profession during these trying times and has many COVID-19 resources available for all nurses.     Happy New Year 2020!!!    Please open the following attachment which is the January 2020 Newsletter.    The newsletter details out Fall 2019 activities that Eta Rho has been engaged in.   Our goal for 2020 is to feature a member each month and this month it is EMU SON BSN Graduate Brianna Young.  We have also featured Dr. Diane Fox and Dr. Meriam Caboral-Stevens (EMU SON Faculty) for Presenting at the Sigma Biennial Conference and Publishing a research article in "Teaching and Learning in Nursing".

    Hello Eta Rho Members!

    It is hard to believe that it is November! Thank you for all of your support as our Chapter has sponsored The IPN Fall Conference “Smart Strategies for Everyday Personal and Online Safety” held on Thursday October 10, 2019 at the Kensington Court Hotel in Ann Arbor and the 2019 Annual Aging Studies Program Lecture “Helping Caregivers Manage behaviors in Persons with Dementia”. Be sure to take advantage of all that SIGMA has to offer by visiting the website and the CIRCLE! Did you know that your membership provides FREE CE credits? Are you aware that our Chapter has been fundraising by assisting with football parking at Lucky’s Market for all home University of Michigan Football Games? We are always in need of volunteers! We have two games left this season…. 11/16 and 11/30! Please consider volunteering for a couple of hours!!! Funds raised will be sending our two delegates to the 45th Biennial Convention which will be held in Washington DC 16-20 November!

    Fundraising:   Help run Lucky's Market's UM Football game-day parking lot by either directing traffic, setting up cones, or collecting parking money.  Lucky's Market will provide you with a free lunch, the commitment ends at kick-off time!!  Funds raised with go to Eta Rho!!!!

    Good evening,
    The Eta Rho Board hopes everyone is having a safe and enjoyable summer!!!    The 2018-2019 year was a busy time for the chapter and one in which numerous memories were made.  Chapter leaders have decided to trial an online newsletter to increase communication with members, we hope you enjoy it!!   The newsletter highlights some of the major events Eta Rho sponsored and also includes a call for volunteers for the 2019 Football Parking Season.    Please enjoy pictures from the following events from 2018-2019:    UM Football Parking Fundraisers at Lucky's Market in Ann Arbor, hosting the Myanmar students at EMU (funded by scholarships raised from UM Parking), Induction Ceremony & Awarding of Scholarships 2019, and being named recipients of the Sigma Presidential Call for Action- Showcase of Regional Excellence Awards (Collaborate & Catalyze).
